In the latest episode of The Passing Shot, the tennis podcast by fans, Joel and Kim catch up on the 2nd round of the French Open 2021.

From Ash Barty retiring injured against Magda Linette to Federer’s fight past Marin Cilic in 4 sets, Joel and Kim round up the main talking points from days 4 and 5, including a nod to 13 time Champion Rafa Nadal who celebrates his birthday today.

They discuss the good fortunes of American men and women in the draws, and by contrast the poor showing of French players this year, as well as reflecting on Cam Norrie making the 3rd round of a Slam for the 3rd consecutive time.

Joel and Kim also touch on the doubles draws, with Mektic and Pavic having  had to withdraw from the doubles draw due to a positive Covid-19 test, and Coco Gauff teaming up with Venus Williams.
