The French Open Catch-Up: Round Four - Djokovic survives; Federer withdraws; Serena + Azarenka faulter; Gauff reaches new heights; Tsitsipas-Medvedev night popcorn

In the latest episode of The Passing Shot, the tennis podcast by fans, Joel and Kim get together to roundup all the main action from the 4th round of the French Open 2021.

From the debate surrounding Roger Federer’s withdrawal to Lorenzo Musetti retiring in the 5th set against Novak Djokovic, they are there to discuss the key talking points from Paris.

Whilst Serena Williams’ hopes of a 24th Grand Slam are eluded once again, this time at the hands of Elena Rybakina, Coco Gauff reaches the first Quarter Final of her Slam career. Joel and Kim catch up on the matches on both the men’s and women’s side and look ahead to the Quarter Finals which feature a mix of both stalwart and unexpected players.

From the popcorn potential of Tsitsipas v Medvedev to the run of current champion Iga Swiatek, Joel and Kim continue to assess the fates and fortunes of the remaining hopes in the singles, as well as celebrating the success of the Brits in the Wheelchair events, with Alfie Hewitt and Gordon Reid making history.
